Viola Seitz Schiefer, 87, died with family nearby on July 4, 2022 at her home in Mt Juliet, TN.
A graveside service will be held at Veyo Cemetery in Veyo, UT at 10am on July 11, 2022.
She was born June 27, 1935 to Andrew and Delilah Seitz in St. George, UT. Family was always important to Viola, especially when she married Ken Schiefer in the St. George temple December 1, 1954. She loved being a mother to her three children Terry, Kenny, and Sally, and especially loved being a grandmother to her 17 grandchildren. One of her greatest pleasures in life was being able to express her love for her family through hugs and warmth.
She loved spending her time working on her hobbies, which included sewing, gardening, bird watching, reading historical fiction, and taking care of her beloved dog Sparky. She was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and she spent much of her time later in life reading scriptures and singing her favorite hymns.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her three brothers, and her husband, all of whom she looked forward to seeing again in the next life. She is survived by all of her children and their families as well as her beloved sister Ione Pickett.
Viola faced many hardships in her life but always made sure her family knew that she felt the Savior’s love and companionship through all of them, and we know she is in His care now.
