Tresa Rae Condie Humphries, age 53, from Washington, Utah passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019, after a struggle with complications from a previous surgery. She was born April 23, 1965, in St. George, Utah; the daughter of Val Rae Chamberlain and Victor Lorin Condie. She was married to Danton Blayne Humphries on February 14, 1981 in Hurricane, Utah.
Tresa grew up in Hurricane, UT and attended Hurricane High School. She has been an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her entire life. Her favorite church calling was working in the primary because she loved teaching the children. In her high school years, she enjoyed church and school activities with her large group of friends.
Tresa was a wonderful homemaker and caring mother to her two children, Brooklyn Hortin and Glenwood Humphries. Her real joy in life was her grandchildren, Brinley and Trey Hortin. Her family and friends were drawn to her loving personality. This love and care extended to all who met her. She had a gift for making others feel important and shared a strong bond with her many nieces and nephews. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, and dear friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Tresa obtained different management positions in the food industry. Many residents of the Hurricane area enjoyed her pleasant smile and personality as she worked at the Hurricane Taco Time. She developed great compassion and love for serving others while working several years in different Beehive senior living homes. She later extended this love and compassion when she served as a volunteer in a food bank for those less fortunate in Florence, Oregon. Because of her deep love and connection with people, they would often ask for her personally when coming to the food bank.
She is now reunited with her son, Glenwood Blayne Humphries, who passed 3 years prior; a reunion event that she has looked forward to. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Brooklyn and Mike Hortin and two grandchildren Brinley and Trey of Las Vegas, NV; her sister and brother-in-law Tamra and Douglas Hermansen of Hurricane, UT; her brothers and sisters-in-law Todd and Jenny Condie of Logan, UT and Cory and Amanda Condie of La Verkin, UT; father of her children Danton Blayne Humphries of Albuquerque, New Mexico; in-laws Glenwood and Diana Humphries of Hurricane, UT. Also, her loving parents, Val Rae Chamberlain of Washington, UT and Vic and Vicki Condie of St George, UT.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 8, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at the Coral Canyon Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel, 1950 N Coral Canyon Blvd, Washington, UT 84780.
