Trent William Hurst

LaVerkin, Utah--Trent William Hurst passed away on the 1st of June 2015.  He was born on the 7th of December 1981 in Monticello Utah to James Hurst and Linda Hartle (McAlpine). Trent was a very genuine and loving individual.  As many can attest, he was a lovable guy that could always make you laugh.  Trent was raised at a young age in Phoenix, AZ and Bloomfield, NM.  At the age of 12 he moved to LaVerkin, Utah where this became his home and final resting place.  He attended Hurricane Middle school and graduated from Hurricane High and Hurricane Seminary.  During these years, Trent made many lasting friendships.  He loved sports and excelled in Football and Basketball. Following High School he was called on a LDS mission to Portugal, Spain.  Trent was released prior to his 2 year calling honorably and secondary to medical conditions.  Trent completed undergraduate classes at Dixie State College in St. George, Utah.  Trent had an attention to detail, was mechanically incline and had a strong work ethic.  His primary occupation was in the landscape construction industry where he loved being outside, getting a tan and physically working hard.  He later began working in the pest control industry which took him back to Phoenix.  There he married and had a beautiful daughter named Brooklyn.  Most recently Trent was living in St. George.  He enjoyed sports, outdoor activities, working out, and being with friends.  He always cherished the time he spent with his daughter Brooklyn.  He was a stylish young man, loved wearing baseball hats, washed his shoes excessively and always wore a bracelet or watch.  Trent passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Trent truly was a fun, loving and caring person who has many friends and family that love him deeply.  The Lord saw fit to call Trent home.  He has and will always be a choice son of God. He is survived by Parents: James and Debra Hurst of LaVerkin, Utah, Jim and Linda Hartle of Bloomfield, New Mexico; Daughter: Brooklyn Hurst of Queen Creek, Arizona; Grandparents: Bruce and Elaine Hurst of Salem, Utah; Siblings: Chris and Kathy Hurst of Hurricane, Utah, Jeff and Candice Needham of Logan, Utah and Rob and Lindsey Hurst of LaVerkin, Utah.  He is preceded in death by his Grandparents: Bill and Dee McAlpine, Gene and Louise Porter and Keith and Evelyn Warby. Funeral services will be Monday June 8th 2015 beginning with a viewing at 9:30 followed by services at 11:00 at the LaVerkin LDS stake center located at 481 North Main Street LaVerkin, Utah.  Interment will take place in the LaVerkin City Cemetery.
