Tracy Maynes Thomson died on February 4, 2023, in Hurricane, Utah at the age of 75. Tracy was born on November 24, 1947, in Tacoma, Washington. He is survived by his wife Margaret Thomson, his son Tracy J. Thomson, and three grandchildren James, Charles, and Sierra, his brother Dean Thomson and his sister Ann Mudd. He is preceded in death by his son Samuel Thomson and his brother Dayl Thomson. He was a hard worker both professionally and at home. After graduating from Brigham Young University with a degree in computer linguistics he spent 35 years employed as a surveyor by the Federal Bureau of Reclamation in Utah. In his spare time, he enjoyed physical activities such as waterskiing, hiking, running, biking, and in his later years kayaking. He was fun to be around, positive, always carried a smile, and was a favorite of his nieces and nephews. He was an involved, attentive mentor and invaluable example to his children and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 11 am on February 11 in the LDS Church building located at 272 South 700 West in Hurricane, Utah. A gathering will begin at 10:00 am.
