Tony Summerhays

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tony Summerhays on 03/02/25. He was a beloved husband to Karen Ann Summerhays, his partner, and best friend of 24 years; they were an inseparable duo, celebrating their love and friendship every day. 

Tony was a devoted father to four children: Cody, Krystal, Kandice and Kiley. Tony also had two beautiful grandchildren by Cody and Erica Summerhays. His love for his children knew no bounds, and he was always there with open arms, unwavering support, and a heart full of love.

He dedicated his life to helping others, serving as a guidance counselor at an addiction rehabilitation center, where he had the privilege of making a difference in many lives. Helping others was not just his career; it was his passion. His selflessness, empathy, and dedication to those in need are what made him so special.

Those who knew him will remember him for his infectious laughter, his incredible sense of humor, and the way he lit up any room he entered. His personality was truly one of a kind, and his ability to bring joy and warmth to others will never be forgotten. He had a beautiful soul, and his spirit will live on in the countless memories he created with those lucky enough to know him. 

While our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in knowing that his love and light will forever shine in our lives. His legacy of kindness, laughter, and service to others will never fade. He will always be cherished, missed, and loved beyond measure. Tony Summerhays resided in Hurricane Utah. He was born 04/13/62 in Salt Lake City Utah mother Barbara Mary Selby.

Tony had two sisters and two brothers. Jody, Jamie, Joey, and Jason. He proceeds in death by those who loved him and will be welcomed into their arms once again.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday Mar 15, 2025. Arrangements are made under the direction of Hughes Mortuary, 1037 East 700 S. St. George, Utah. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Karen Summerhays, address 2661 W 450 N Hurricane, UT 84737
