Toby Rosenblum

June 22, 1943 — March 28, 2024

St. George, Utah

Toby Rosenblum, 80, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024.  She was born June 22, 1943 in Chicago, IL to Leonard and Fay Chesin (nee Marks).  She married Jay Rosenblum on September 30, 1964 in Chicago, IL.

Toby met the love of her life, Jay, in high school in 1959 and married him in 1964.  Toby raised her family in Morton Grove and Arlington Heights, Illinois.  Toby worked for 24 years at Midas International as a training coordinator and executive assistant.

Toby and Jay retired and moved to St. George, UT in 2008.  Toby volunteered with the St. George Chamber of Commerce and the St. George Police Department.  She was also very involved with the Jewish community in St. George, including serving on the board of Beit Chaverim.

Toby’s hobbies included reading, shopping (and returning purchases), seeing the country from the back of a motorcycle and the world from a cruise ship.  She also enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society.

Toby loved to go out to dinner with friends – but hated bad customer service and never hesitated to bring it to a manager’s attention.  Her signature color was purple and she had a firm belief that there is no such thing as too many shoes or too many purses.

Toby is survived by her spouse, Jay of St. George, UT, daughters Sue (Michael) Collins of Tucson, AZ and Rachel (Ken) Rogers of Gig Harbor, WA; grandchildren Tyler (Donnaly) Crull, Cody Crull (Amber Fuller), Maya Rogers, and Ryan Rogers.  She is preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Fay Chesin, son Brian Rosenblum and daughter Lori Rosenblum.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 1, 2024 at Hughes Mortuary, 1037 East 700 S, St. George, Utah at 2:00 pm. Final interment will be private and for family only.

Arrangements are made under the direction of Hughes Mortuary, 1037 East 700 S, St. George, Utah, (435) 674-5000.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (www.bcrf.org).
