Timothy Root

Timothy J Root (TJ), 39 years old, passed away November 26, 2023. He was born March 23, 1984 in Salt Lake City to Steven Root and Donna Day.

TJ was born and raised in Murray, Utah and eventually made his way down to Southern Utah to live in St. George to be near his mother and sister. TJ was always the life of the party and enjoyed spending time with his friends. His favorite things in life were watching and cheering for the Utah Jazz, making and listening to hip-hop and R & B music, playing online video games,
golfing, but he mostly found comfort in his relationship with Jesus Christ.

He is survived by both parents, Steven Root (Pamela Lewis-Root) and Donna Day; his older sister, Stephanie Ford (Seagrum Ford); his older brother, Christopher Root (Jessica Croxford); and his nephew, Evan Root (Amanda Root); his best kitty friend, Romeo; and the friends that he left behind that loved him. He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Pauline and Ray Root; maternal grandparents, Donald and Ina Day; and his lifelong feline friend, Jittles.

There will be no memorial services as the family has decided to celebrate TJ in private. In lieu of funeral services and/or flowers, the family requests that you please donate to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (https://givenow.lls.org) in honor of his nephew, Evan.
