THOMAS JOHN WENNER, JR. 

Our Savior Jesus Christ welcomed home a great man and loyal servant. (TJ) passed from this life to the next peacefully, after a long battle with lung disease. TJ was born to Eileen Johnson and Thomas John Wenner, SR in New Jersey. He was known to be a loving husband and father and a loyal friend who will be sorely missed.  TJ was a faithful member of the LDS church and came to learn about and love his Savior. TJ retired after over 30 years active duty in the Army National Guard and was a veteran of the Cold War. He was as patriotic as they come and proudly served his country.

TJ is survived by his loving eternal companion, Bonnie Stroud Wenner celebrating 57 years of marriage and his children: Debbie Wenner Hofhines (Brent), Thomas J Wenner III (Mary) and Robert D Wenner (Teresa). TJ leaves behind 8 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.   He is also survived by siblings: Normal Skala, Barbara Vanderzanden, and William (Bill) Hansen and Robert & John Wenner; and was preceded in death by his parents. After cremation, TJ’s final resting place will be at Wasatch Memorial Gardens in Salt Lake City at a later date.  Condolences may be expressed through www.hughesmortuary.com  The family wishes to thank the excellent and profession staff at DRMC ICU.
