Taz Zachary Lunnen

Taz Zachary Lunnen passed away August 4, 2022 in Hurricane Utah. Taz was born on December 10, 1989. He was raised in Kaysville, Utah by his grandparents Gerald and Sherrie Lunnen after his mom passed away when he was six. He graduated from high school in St. George, Utah where he was on the golf team. He was a natural at golf!

Taz loved his family very much, and always made sure to express his love every time they met or talked. While being raised by his grandparents he was lucky enough to have two aunts, Jayme and Marcee, who helped raise him as his other mothers. He also loved all his cousins so much, and was very protective of them. Taz met and married the love of his life, Brittany Marie Atkerson, in 2021 in southern Utah. He was a very good daddy to her three children!

Taz loved the outdoors, especially fishing, hiking, and camping. He spent a lot of time in the hills with his family. Taz always had a stash of candy and a mountain dew in his hand. He recently got a sweet dog, Fantasia, that he was head over hills for and she loved him like crazy. Taz enjoyed his job and his co-workers. He was always grateful for them. Taz loved playing Pokemon GO. His friends will tell you he had all of the “shiny luck”!

Anyone who was lucky enough to have Taz in their life was truly blessed. He had unconditional love and would do anything for them. There were a lot of memories made with Taz, and they will always be treasured. He will be greatly missed. We believe in angels, so we know he will be watching over us.

Taz was preceded in death by his mom Camie Lane Lunnen, his grandpa Gerald Lunnen, and his uncle Todd Showell. He is survived by his wife Brittany Lunnen; children, Hayden, Madisyn, and Ethan; grandma, Sherrie Lunnen; family, Jayme and Norris Church, Marcee and Shane Litanski, Shaunna and Jeff Stoddard and kids, Sage Litanski, Jordan Bailey, Jaden Jorgensen, Taylor, Titan, Jett and Cruz Polluck.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 18, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Hughes Mortuary, 1037 E. 700 S. St. George, Ut. A viewing will be held prior to that from 10:00 am - 11:00 am.
