Tanner Jeffrey Jolley was born on December 2, 2015, at 12:05 p.m. to Jeff & RaCail Jolley. Like the saying “the littlest feet make the biggest footprints in our hearts,” this little boy impacted the lives of everyone who ever had the privilege of knowing him. His smile, his dimple on the right, his eyes that twinkled like stars, and his laughter that healed the brokenhearted and lifted the spirit of the downtrodden testified of Tanner’s special spirit. His 34-inch frame carried an overabundance of love and hope, which he scattered everywhere he went. His strength and bravery taught us all how to live each day to the fullest.
Tanner was diagnosed with Chronic Granulomatous Disease (CGD) in the spring of 2016 and underwent a bone marrow transplant in the summer of 2017 in order to overcome the debilitating consequences of a lifelong fight with this disease. This past month, Tanner became ill, and after weeks of fighting this illness, he passed away in his mother’s arms on August 27, 2018. He was 2 years, 8 months and 25 days old.
Tanner loved his blanket, his “mimi” (binkie), his baseball caps, and his books. He enjoyed blowing bubbles, riding his bike, snapping his fingers, jumping, swinging, playing cars, trucks and tractors, baseball, superheroes, fishing, swimming, throwing the “krisbie treat,” singing and dancing. He also loved pizza, popsicles, twinkle-little-star nuggets, Dr. Pepper and all things chocolate. He had to have a 4-wheeler ride every day. He was his daddy’s little side-kick, his mommy’s little boy, and his sister Caroline’s best friend.
Tanner is survived by his parents, Jeffrey and RaCail Jolley (Washington), his sister, Caroline Jolley, and his grandparents, Steven and Sydnee Jolley (Ivins) and David and Janet Bradshaw (Beaver).
