Sue Bailey

St George, Utah – Jean “Sue” Bailey, age 81, finished her work here on earth January 6, 2017. Sue was born July 19, 1935 in Toole, Utah to Conrad K. Hancock and Elaine Herron. She met her eternal companion, Walter Lee Bailey and they were married February 14, 1959.  A year later, they were sealed in the Los Angeles temple.

Sue was raised in Whittier, CA and attended Whittier College with emphasis in journalism.  As an executive secretary by profession, Sue had the opportunity to work in both the public and private sectors. She enjoyed her time at Redlands School District in Redlands CA, Buffalo Bills Historical Center in Cody WY, and Del Paso Country Club in Carmichael CA. Sue was an active and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all her life and truly enjoyed her many callings.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Lee Bailey currently living in St George, UT and her 3 children; Steven (Arin) in Antelope, CA, Nanette in Elk Grove, CA, and Mark (Nancy) in St George, UT and her 2 brothers Robert (Kathy) in Bend, OR and Bob (Betsy) in Lake Havasu, AZ. She is preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Connie Burton and Mary Wood.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 am (viewing will start at 9:30 am) at Snow Canyon Stake Center, 1184 N. Dixie Downs Rd.
