Shelley Stephens

November 29, 1949 — September 16, 2017

Shelley Stephens

Shelley Stephens was the third daughter of Don C. Stephens and Mary Lou Cannon Stephens.  She was born on November 29, 1949 at Point Hueneme Naval Base in Ventura County, California.  A fourth daughter and a son soon followed.

The family moved often-more than a half dozen times, before Shelley graduated from Villa Park High School in 1967.

She worked at Rockwell Aviation in Anaheim, California then moved to St. George where she worked at Dixie State University until retiring in 2012.  She continued her education during that time.

Shelley was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in a number of positions, but especially enjoyed teaching primary.

She will always be remembered for her humor, her big heart, and her generosity.  Her laugh was infectious and could brighten the day for those around her.  She could always find the humor in life.

Shelley is survived by her daughter Bethany Olson, Son-in-law Scott Olson, her grandchildren Bevan, Tristan, Kennedy and Carter, her father Don C. Stephens and three Sisters; Kathy Primm (Lee), Connie Konzak (Gary), Janet Humpherys (Joe) and brother Don R. Stephens and many nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Lou Stephens and granddaughter Raegan Olson.
