Shandi Ann Matik

Shandi Ann Matik (Iverson) was born March 16, 1983 to Douglas L. Iverson and Barbara J. Iverson (Eldridge) in St George, Utah. Shandi tragically left us on June 21, 2016, in St George, Utah at the age of 33.
Shandi grew up in St George, Utah with her three siblings Valerie, Taylor, and Jacey. She loved riding horses, spending time with friends, and being a big sister to her younger siblings. 
Shandi graduated from high school in 2001. She continued her education completing several years of college and obtained her master estheticians license from Taylor Andrews. Her hobbies included hiking, boating, fitness training, dancing, and taking care of her family. One of her biggest passions was competing in fitness competitions placing 1st in both a NGA and NPC event in the fall of 2012.
She gave birth to her daughter Ashtyn Ann on September 29th, 2007. On December 17th, 2010 she married the love of her life and best friend Ronald Thomas Matik. They lived in St George and gave birth to their first child and son Trexton Thomas on December 3rd, 2015. 

Shandi was the loving mother, daughter, sister, and wife we all yearn for. She will be remembered for her sparkling personality that brought us all so much happiness and joy. Her genuine and heartfelt attitude made her the admirable person we all adore. We will miss her dearly, but celebrate her life through memories of the times we shared.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday June 25, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the LDS Church located at 82 North Dixie Drive, St. George, Utah.   There will be a visitation for friends and family prior to services from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.  at the same location. 

Interment will follow at Tonaquint Cemetery.
