Scott Newman

Scott Jeffery Newman passed away January 31, 2023. He died peacefully in his sleep sitting in his recliner watching tv. Scott was born May 3, 1950 in Salt Lake City,  Utah. He was the second son of Donald Calton Newman and Emma Carol Fredrickson Newman. He attended Forest elementary, Irving Jr High and Highland High School all in Salt Lake City. 

When Scott turned 18 he left home due to circumstances beyond his control to make his way in life. He worked various restaurant jobs until he started with The Utah State liquor control commission.  After leaving there he went to California for a few years eventually returning to St George,  Utah. While in St George he worked at Anderson building supplies as a clerk. 

After retirement from work Scott eventually moved to The Village at Heritage Court where  he made many friends. He considered them to be like his own family and really enjoyed living there.

When Scott returned to Saint George he became reactivated in the Church of Jesus of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed doing family history. 

Scott is survived by his brother Gregory ( Nancy )  of Las Vegas and many nieces and nephew's. 

A celebration of Scott's life will be held at a later time.
