Ronald Dale Monroe

On January 12, 2018, our beloved Brother, Uncle, and Great Uncle; Ronald Dale Monroe passed away at age 76 in St George, Utah. Ron was born on October 9, 1941 to Phillip and Edith Gunderson in Pasadena, California. He lived in California the majority of his life before retiring to Cedar City, Utah in 2005. Ron graduated from Citrus college and graduated with an AA. He was a determined and hard worker and spent nearly a decade working for both Aero Jet and Weiser Locks, and later worked for Thermador and Custom Building Projects.

Ron was a member of the LDS church and was a high priest at the time of his death. He served in any way he could and was often the executive secretary or ward clerk. Ron is survived by his sister; Gail Gunderson, Nephew; Bradley (Collette) Gunderson, Niece; Vicky (Layne) Read, Nephew; Douglas, Great Niece; Larissa (Garren) Allred, Great Niece;; Jessica (Colby) Meier, Great Nephew; Jason Duchesne, Great Nephew; Blake Smith, Great Niece; Briana (Ted) Tallent , Great Great Nephew/Nieces; Lucas and Macie Meier, Blair and Eleanor Allred, and Aria and Swayze Tallent. He is preceded in death by his parents Phillip and Edith Monroe and Brother-in-law Barry Gunderson. Viewing will be Wednesday January 17, 2018 at Hughes Montgomery Mortuary (2071 N Main, Cedar City) from 12:00-12:30 with a graveside service at 1:00 PM in the Cedar City Cemetery.
