Robert ‘Dob’ Calvin Stucki passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 25th. He was born on July 17th, 1940 in St George to Calvin John Stucki and LaVerne Eardley Stucki.
He was married to Sandra Talbot on February 2nd 1962 in the St George Temple. Dob was raised in Santa Clara where he made great memories with his twin brother Richard and many friends. Some of his favorite memories were days spent at the boys pond where he was given his nickname of Dob. He has great pride in being a cook at the Sugarloaf restaurant where he met his sweetheart Sandra. After they were married they made their home in St George where they raised their 5 children. After he left the Sugarloaf he went to work at Nevada Power plant. He made many friends traveling back and forth while working there.
Dob loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time camping, fishing, hunting and shooting. His boys were often by his side in these adventures. He retired from Nevada Power in 2002 and began a life of service and enjoying his hobbies. He served in the St George temple and again made many friends. He was instrumental in establishing the Dixie Red Dirt Riders ATV club and looked forward to Wednesday’s when they would get together and spend the day riding. Dob never lacked friends or anyone to talk to.
He is survived by his children Sheri (Dan) Gorham of Las Vegas Nevada, Richard (Anna) Stucki of Central Utah, Ronald (Tammy) Stucki, Russ (Kendra) Stucki and Shauna (Anthony) Farnsworth all of St George, 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren as well as Sisters Jacklyn Allen and Judy (Mike) Hutchins.
