Robert Gile Black Jr.

Robert Gile Black Jr., 60, passed away November 11, 2024

He was born on November 16, 1963, in Safford, Arizona, to Sandra Lee Baton and Robert Gile Black, Sr. He served an LDS mission in Spain, 1984. 

Robert lived with restless curiosity, always tinkering with the mechanical, though he found more comfort in the rough edges of the desert than in any man-made space. He was charismatic and open-hearted, and brought his quick wit and bright spirit to any gathering and found his greatest joy in being surrounded by those he loved.

He is preceded in death by his father Robert Gile Black Sr. Robert's memory lives on through his surviving family: his beloved mother Sandra Brown - UT, his siblings Allison Morant - OH, Lesley Brown - UT, Suellen Shook - UT, Leanne Black - AR, Glen Black - UT, Galen Black - UT, Kelly Black - CO, Kendal Black - UT, Ryan Black - UT, Natassja McCoy - UT, and Natalie Black - WA. His legacy continues through his children, whom he loved dearly: Kendra Black - Spain, Ximena Santiago Black - UT, Owen Black - UT, and Erik Black - UT. As well as through his grandchildren, Damien, Ender, Daxton, Mason, Mila.

Friends, family, and all those whose lives he enriched are invited to join in celebrating his life. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 1 to 3PM at Main Street Chapel, 82 North Main Street, Washington, Utah 84780.
