Richard Claude Fassett

Richard Claude Fassett of St George passed away Sunday, December 29th after a brief illness.  He was born October 29, 1958 in Sonoma, CA to Riley Dwight Fassett and Anne Margaret Wersall.

He graduated from BYU with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and went on to work at Pacific Corp for over 20 years, after which he worked for Baker Hughes as an account manager.

Richard was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a financial clerk.  He was also an avid sports fan.  He participated in basketball at BYU, ran in 2 - 3 marathons, and loved to golf.  

Family includes his wife, Rebecca, and their two sons, Matthew and Jacob, as well as Richard’s older children: Chris (& Monique) Fassett (children Kendrex and Dez), Andrea Haight (children Ty and Ashlyn), and Josh (& Jordan) Fassett.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 11 am at the Washington Fields 4th ward chapel on 628 S 3000 E in St. George.  A viewing will be from 10:00 to 10:30 prior to services at the same location.  Interment will be at the Tonaquint Cemetery
