Regina Anne Mackey (née Mullen), affectionately known as Gina, passed away on July 5, 2024, at the age of 49 in Saint George, Utah. Born on August 15, 1974, in Paramount, California, Gina brought joy and laughter to all who knew her.
Gina is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Mackey; daughters, Amber and Amanda Madrid; sons, Brandon and Ethan Mackey; sisters, Cindy and Kathy Mullen, and Katricia Bennett; and step-mother, Donna Helfrich. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Beverly Mullen; brothers, Ralph and Donald Mullen; and mother-in-law, Marilyn Mackey.
Regina completed her education with a GED and spent her professional life enriching the lives of others. Most recently, she worked at Lin's Market in Hurricane, Utah, as a Fresh Cut Associate, where she cherished her relationships with colleagues and customers alike.
An artist at heart, Regina was exceptionally skilled in crafting with plastic canvas and yarn, creating beautiful art that reflected her kind soul and creativity.
Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 452 N 2600 W, Hurricane, Utah, on July 12, 2024. A viewing will take place from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the funeral service. Burial will be at Hurricane City Cemetery, 225 E 600 N, Hurricane, Utah. Hughes Mortuary of Saint George, Utah, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Regina's warm spirit and infectious laugh will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the memories of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
