On May 29, 2022 at 9:44 am, Paul Douglas Wadley, a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, left this earth to join the angels of heaven. After a difficult battle with pancreatic cancer, he leaves behind his loving wife, family, friends, and especially his pain and suffering. We will miss the twinkle in his eye and his charming smile.
Paul was born on March 6th, 1939 to William and Laberta Wadley in Tabiona, Utah. He is survived by 5 sisters, Kathryn (Holt Ellis), Sandra (Tew), Wilda (Watts), Donna (Miner), and Roseanne (Jarrett Falk). He leaves behind his wife Kaye of 63 years and his 5 children: William (Gina) Wadley, Tracy (Rich) Cunningham, Kimberly (Alan) Rice, Shanna (Grant) Caufield, and John (Sara) Wadley. He also leaves his wonderful grandchildren: Rebecca (Justin Dudley), Rachael (Mike Thomas), and Matthew Wadley; RJ (Kirsten), and Courtney Cunningham; William (Serena), Kaylee, and Madison (Ben Horning) Rice; and Macen Caufield. His legacy also includes his beautiful great grandchildren: Aidan, Ethan, Kherington, Tate, Tucker, Olivia, Cael, Cade, and Jensen.
In his professional life, he worked for many years as a sales manager for John Deere Company, and he was needed by so many for his amazing skills as a tax accountant. His travels took him to many parts of the country to live, including California, Illinois, Idaho, New York and Connecticut. He had been settled for the last 30 years in St. George, Utah. Paul loved Coca-Cola, fast and fancy cars, genealogy, coin collecting, cycling, puzzles, reading, his family, and his loyal, furry companion, Sadie.
The family would like to thank Sun Tree Hospice care and especially Paula Vu, his nurse and angel here on earth. Many thanks also to the St. George fire department for their dedicated service. It was Paul's wish not to have a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society and RSQ dogs of St. George. So long to an amazing man, until we meet again!
