Nicole James Antelope

June 29, 1983 — July 30, 2024

St George, UT

Nicole James Antelope passed away peacefully wrapped in the arms of her loving husband, the love of her life Lance and surrounded by loved ones at her St George home on the morning of July 30, 2024.

She was born in Murray, Utah on June 29, 1983. Her Parents, Carl and Dorothy James, were so happy to be blessed with this beautiful baby girl. And loved her they did, with all they had, through her triumphs and her struggles, even as she took her last breath.

Little Niki was able to enjoy music lessons, recreational sports, and dance classes as she grew up. Niki showed early how bright and talented she was as she caught on quickly to most anything she tried. She had a gift for music with a beautiful singing voice and the ability to play the piano and viola. She graduated from Bountiful High School in 2001.

Nicole brought three wonderful children into the world: Kyler, Jaden, and Kambrie. The James family enjoyed and shared many happy times together camping and traveling to many fun and interesting places.

Her smile and vivaciousness could light up the room with a natural beauty that made her shine. She will be remembered for her friendliness, kindness, and desire to help others and protect the underdog, as well as her stubborn independence. Her hobbies included watching football and cheering for her boys and the Utes, snowboarding, hiking, swimming, and spending time in the sun. She loved trying new things and was always game for an adventure. Her career was working in mortgage title industry.

Kristin “Subashe” Olsen was her best friend and “BH” loving each other like sisters, they had each other’s back through the good and bad of life. She was by Niki’s side to the end.

Niki was able to make a connection with her birth mother Michelle Udy and other members of her birth family. Michelle was a support to her in times of need and was also by her side at her passing.

On November 11, 2020, Nicole married the love of her life, the man of her dreams, Lance Antelope. Lance is the man for whom she had waited her whole life and who loved her fiercely. Never leaving her side no matter the circumstance. Supporting her through the thick and thin, through sickness and health, through good times and hard times. Together they made a life and some wonderful, joyful memories that are sadly too quickly cut short.

Nicole is survived by her husband, children, parents, siblings, and stepchildren. She is preceded in death by her infant brother.

The family would like to thank all the medical teams, Intermountain Hospice and all the wonderful family and friends that have helped so much through this time of struggle and loss.

Nicole, we love you to the moon and back! Always have and always will! Fly High and sing with the angels!
