Molly passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband and loving family, Tuesday September 12th, 2023. Molly was born at home on November 6th, 1936 in Ephraim, Utah. She attended Ephraim schools, Snow College and Utah State University where she earned a degree in Medical Technology. She later earned her Masters of Science from the University of Utah. In 1998 she retired from Intermountain Health Care, where she spent the majority of her career as a laboratory supervisor.
In 1958 she married Kameron Maxwell and they had three children; Anne, Nancy and John. They were divorced after 18 years. In 1986 she married Gary H. Dolana in the Los Angeles Temple. They would have celebrated 37 years together this coming December.
Molly was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints. She especially loved working with the young women of the church. Molly and Gary also served a humanitarian mission to Mongolia. They were assigned to the National Medical University in Ulaanbaatar. While they were there, they developed a deep love for the country and the people. A year after completing the mission, they returned to Mongolia to install advanced diagnostic and blood-banking equipment and train technicians and doctors in its use.
Prior to settling into their home in Santa Clara, Molly and Gary traveled the world extensively. Molly was privileged to have visited every continent.
Molly is survived by her husband, Gary and 3 children, Anne Maxwell, Nancy Dexter (Dan), and John Byron Maxwell, three stepchildren, Frank Dolana, Wendy Ann Saxon, sister Geneva Cloward, 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Janice Nielsen (Russel), her brother James Byron Tucker, her stepson Ronald Gary Dolana and her granddaughter Maya Sloan Smith-Dolana.
