Leonard (Len) Morgan Stillman Jr. died peacefully in his home at the age of 82, surrounded by loved ones on January 26, 2025.
Len was born on January 23, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Leonard Morgan Stillman Sr. and Juanita Pearl Temple. He was the first of five children.
Len graduated from Boyertown Area High School in Boyertown, Pa. in 1960 and went on to Brigham Young University for two years, majoring in Physics. While at BYU, he was persuaded by a roommate to join the BYU square dance club as a good place to meet girls. There he met Geraldine (Jerrye) Mae Shipley. Len and Jerrye were married for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple on November 14, 1962, in a ceremony that also sealed Len’s parents and family for time and all eternity.
Len went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from BYU in 1967 and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Utah in 1984. With this education and hard work, he was able to attain a position with Sperry and other employers, as well as run his own businesses. His efforts allowed him to support his family and extended family.
Len and Jerrye both enjoyed traveling, wild-life photography, and were Dutch oven cooks in the International Dutch Oven Society for many years. Jerrye passed away in 2015, and in 2017 Len moved to St. George, Utah. While there he served a service mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from March 2018 to September 2019 and served in the St. George, Utah Temple as an ordinance worker from March 2018 to November 2019. Len was always concerned with helping others and doing whatever he could to help. He was kind and patient and touched the lives of all who knew him.
Len and Jerrye are the proud parents of four daughters and five sons. Len is preceded in death by his wife (Jerrye), their daughter (Jerylen), his parents (Leonard and Juanita), his brother (Charles K.
