Larry Marvin Brown was born May 8, 1940 in American Fork, Utah to Marvin Erwin and Ruby Marie Harrington Brown. He died March 5, 2019 at home in La Verkin, Utah. Larry attended schools in American Fork, and was a graduate of American Fork High School. He and his two younger brothers enjoyed their growing-up years: making model airplanes, playing basketball with Dad, playing pranks, helping their parents build a house, and restoring cars. A lifelong learner, he especially enjoyed learning about and caring for tropical fish and exotic pets. He was a gifted artist, and enjoyed singing karaoke. Larry studied Management/Marketing at UVU. He held various jobs throughout his life, but most recently was a researcher for Pentara Corporation.
Larry has lived mostly in Utah, but also in Florida, California, Idaho, and Central America. For the last several years, he has lived in La Verkin where he has enjoyed the friendship of many wonderful people, particularly his associations at the Eagles Dixie Aerie and the Hurricane Senior Citizens Center.
Larry was previously married, and is survived by children and grandchildren, as well as siblings and numerous friends.
Memories and tributes will be shared at the fund-raising (for Alzheimer's) breakfast this Sunday, March 10th at the Eagle Aerie in Hurricane, Utah, from 11:00-1:00.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 14th at the Lindon Stake Center, 56 E. 600 N. in Lindon at 11:00 am, with visitation starting at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in the American Fork Cemetery.
