Ken passed away May 31, 2015 from pulmonary fibrosis caused by rheumatoid arthritis, which he battled for many years. He was an amazing father, grandfather and great grandfather who taught his family to love God above all else. He was the ultimate example of love and faith. Ken served a full-time mission in the eastern states. He also served missions with his beloved wife Beverly at the humanitarian center in St. George, Utah and also at the Family History Center in Colorado and Hurricane, Utah. Ken's passion for life included his love of the great outdoors ,such as hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, and restoring cars. He had a very special love and gift of genealogy work and spent more than 40 years doing research of Danish ancestory. Ken is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beverly Johnson Mangelson and 5 children: Michael, Laurie, David, Robert and Stephen. He was born to Austin Mads Mangelson and Ruby Rasmussen Mangelson. Ken graduated from Olympus High School in 1959 and Utah State University. Ken is also survived by his 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, siblings Marilyn Peterson, Karen Calaway, Reid Mangelson, Ron Mangelson, Jerry Mangelson and Nadine Mangelson. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 3 at 10 a.m. (viewing) at 1178 S. 700 W. in Hurricane Utah. Funeral will begin at 12 p.m..
