Kayden Kurt Ivie

September 17, 1985 — April 17, 2022

Washington

Kayden Kurt Ivie, 36, passed away unexpectedly on April 17, 2022 in Enterprise, Utah. He was born September 17, 1985 in St. George, Utah as the oldest and only son to Kurt Ferron Ivie and Jillyn Bundy Bettridge. Kayden was raised in St. George, Utah with his 3 little sisters Kenzie, Kalli and Kirsti. They had fond memories of camping, traveling, shooting guns, riding motorcycles and watching him play sports.

Growing up, Kayden worked hard and played hard. He showed to be a hard worker from a young age and was a great employee for Rain Gutter Specialists as he worked alongside his dad. He enjoyed playing many sports but baseball had a special place in his heart. He played Little League baseball and made every all-star team. He traveled to play legion ball and went on to play for many years.

Kayden attended Dixie High School where he met many lifelong friends that were a huge part of his life and he cherished each and every one of them. He enjoyed playing sports and would often talk about his ‘Flyer Family.’ He graduated in 2004 and expressed fond memories of his High School career.

Since Kayden was a little boy, he had a creative mind whether building, cooking or talking. He would create concoctions in the kitchen that usually only he enjoyed. He spent countless hours working on trailers, motorcycles, woodworking, and many other projects he could find. He had a way with words and could seem to sweet-talk his way through anything.

Kayden was known for his huge heart, contagious smile and big hugs. He had a special way of making everyone he came in contact with feel like his favorite person in the world. Many friends and family expressed his loyalty, generosity, protectiveness and sincerity. Everyone in his life could count on him to be there for anything at any time. His nephews were a huge part of his life. He insisted on spending time with them, teaching them how to work and play.

He is survived by his father, Kurt Ferron Ivie; mother, Jillyn Bettridge (Stacey); his sisters, Kenzie Ivie Casey (Landon), Kalli Ivie Grogan (Christopher), Kirsti Ivie; three nephews, Kai, Hendrix and Lex; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Owen and Anna Lou Bundy and Ferron and Evelyn Ivie.
