Kathleen Ann Taber Vause, age 78, of Central, Utah, passed away on March 15, 2025. She was born on September 9, 1946, in Upland, California to Barbara Lou Elizabeth Tapscott and Harry Nelson Taber.

The oldest of three girls (Donna and Leslie), Kathy was raised in West Covina, California, and attended Edgewood High School. She became a single mother to Richard Eric Taber in 1964 and was married to Marty Planavsky from the mid-70’s to late 1980s. In the mid-1990s, she moved from southern California to Las Vegas, Nevada where she had a successful career as a title agent and real estate agent at Keller Williams Realty. In 2014, she moved to Central, Utah with her husband of 20 years, Ronnie Earle Vause, who passed away in 2017. Kathy and Ronnie were the heartbeat of their community in Central, selling real estate, throwing parties, and supporting their neighbors in myriad ways. In 2022, she married Stan McAllister. They divorced in 2024 but remained close until her passing.

Kathy was an extraordinary party planner and organized countless events to support local charities. She was always busy, whether in the garden, kitchen, her craft shed, or in the community. She loved to cook, entertain, paint, garden, decorate, and travel.

She is survived by her son Richard (Karen) Taber of Brooklyn, New York; grandchildren Owen Blue and Eliot Elizabeth Taber; and sister Donna Lacey of Grapevine Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ronnie, and her sister Leslie Johnson.

She lived a full and happy life and will be deeply missed.
