Karon Stirling of Leeds, Utah passed away November 1, 2018.
Karon was born in St George, Utah on January 13, 1948 to Thomas E and Louise F Stirling. She was the eldest of 9 children. Karon lived in Leeds until the age of six, when her family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.
She spent her school years there, graduating from Rancho High School in 1966. After graduation she moved to Cedar City, Utah to attend CSU (now SUU). She graduated from CSU with a Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education. She served a mission to the Japan Fukuoka mission. Before and after her mission she taught elementary school in Roosevelt and Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a teacher for 25 years.
After retiring from teaching she moved back to Leeds, where she has resided until her death.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by her eight siblings, Lynn (Glynis) Stirling, Dean (Leslie) Stirling, Joyce (Ron) Brotherton, Thomas Stirling, Shirley (Brent) Dahl, Tana (Scott) Hayes, Christine Stirling, and Lyman Stirling.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 10th at the Leeds Ward chapel at 11:00 AM, with a viewing beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment will be in the Silver Reef Cemetery.
