1935-2017

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, June Thomas Brown of Washington, Utah died April 26, 2017 at the age of 81 after a beautiful, fulfilling life and after suffering a bump on the head.  June was born in Ferron, UT on June 7, 1935 to Jack (John) and Minnie Faser Thomas.

Mom was always talented in the homemaking arts and created a wonderful home for her posterity with her devoted husband of 62 years, Garry Brown.  Mom had many hobbies that included sewing, crafting, puzzles of every kind, making cards and jewelry, painting, coloring, and of course, shopping for shoes and clothes!

Mom was a caring and loving person who had a talent of making and keeping friends. She had plenty of love to share and acquired many “adopted” children as well. She created special memories camping and boating for over 50 years at Bear Lake, UT with family and friends. June was a member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many callings.

Mom is survived by her husband, Garry Lamar Brown, daughters Cathy (Craig) Armstrong of Bountiful, UT; Mary (John) Janssen of Murray, UT; Lynette (Donald) Rasmussen of Taylorsville, UT and son, Guy (Angela) Brown of Woods Cross, UT. She is also survived by her siblings Gordon Thomas, Ray Thomas, LaRue Harvey, Jerry Thomas, Norma Cloward, 21 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and twins on the way!

A Celebration of June’s life will be held on Saturday, April 29th at 12 noon at the LDS Chapel on 700 East Telegraph Road, Washington, UT.  Those who wish to visit with the family earlier may arrive 10:30am.
