Joseph Othell Ward

Joseph Othell Ward, 86, passed away at his home on Monday morning April 6, 2015. Joe was born in Willard, UT to Joseph and Elsie Ward. He was the 8th of 10 children. Joe was a World War II Veteran serving in the occupation of Japan. Joe met his wife Marilyn in Richland, WA. They married in 1950. Joe loved spending time with his family, friends and playing cards. Joe was a great story-teller and his grandchildren grew up listening to those stories. Joe was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints; he served in many callings throughout his life. Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Ward, 3 children; Debra (Jay) Parker, Keith (Maria) Ward and Juleen (Jerry) Cowley. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren with 3 on the way. Services for Joe will be held on Saturday April 11, 2015. A viewing will be held from 12:30 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. Then the funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Riverside Branch building (2345 E Riverside Dr.). He will be laid to rest in the Ward family plot in Willard, UT on Monday April 13, 2015. Arrangements are under the direction of Heideman Hughes Mortuary (435) 674-5000.
