Joan Alonzo

Joan Alonzo of St. George Utah passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, November 22, 2024 at the age of 92. She was born February 27th 1932 to William and Nelda Bloxham in Kaysville, UT. later moving Ogden where she proudly graduated from, Ogden High School. Joan loved Ogden and spoke often of the beauty of the Wasatch Mountains.

Joan met and married David Fred Alonzo in 1958 and after a brief time in Murray Utah they moved to the West Coast where they spent most of their married life in California. After raising four children (one daughter from a previous marriage) Joan returned to her hometown.

While Joan's first job was at the Clover Club in Kaysville, Utah the majority of her professional life was working in Customer Service primarily in Menlo Park, CA. at Sharon Heights Country Club and in Farmington, UT. at the Farmington Country Club. 

Joan had a lifelong passion for dancing and music and spent her later years playing the piano and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children; Dana (David) Hill, Alan Alonzo, Tod (Cristi) Alonzo, Susanne (Shaun) Hartman, 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Interment will take place at Kaysville Cemetery at a future date TBD.
