Jesse Dale Curtis

Why do people carve their initials in trees? Or place their hands in cement? They want to leave their mark, and to be remembered. But the real marks they leave are the ones they've made on us.  A hug. A smile. A kind word. Our dear husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, and friend Jesse Dale Curtis at age 70, passed away on May 4, 2015 at his home in Hurricane Utah with his family by his side. Dale was born March 26, 1945 in Muarry, Utah to Cloyd and Beulah Curtis. Dale was the 3rd of four boys. He graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1963. Dale married his sweetheart Nancie in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 12, 1964. He worked hard, and carried on his father's professional trade which made him a 3rd generation mason. He made sure to teach all his sons the trade of masonry. He taught his children to work hard at a young age by taking them to work with him. Dale was the loving father of 8 sons and 1 daughter. Dale was the exemplary family man. His family was his pride and joy. He lived by the mantra "work hard to play hard." Dale left us with a legacy of lasting memories.  Dale is survived by his wife Nancie, his sons Jeffery(Toni), Trenton(Staci), Shae(Jami), Clinton(Becky), Jason(Holly), Spencer(Rosalee), Nathan(Desiree), Jared(Amber), his daughter Jessica(Ryan Wilkins),  45 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, his mother Beulah, his brothers Gary(Arlene), Dennis(Judy), and Raymond, numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dale was preceded in death by his father Cloyd. Funeral services will be held on Friday May 8th at 11:00 am. Viewing Thursday May 7th 7:00-8:30 pm and Friday May 8th 9:45-10:45 am located at the Heritage LDS Chapel 1178 South 700 West, Hurricane, Utah 84737. Interment will follow at Hurricane City Cemetery.
