The world lost a beloved mother and grandmother, Janalee Gubler Moody of Enterprise Utah, who unexpectedly left this mortal existence on June 18, 2021.
Janalee was 67 years old and was born on December 28, 1953 in Soda Springs, Idaho to Jay H. and Evelyn Gubler. She spent much of her younger years living in various places around the country until she found her way to Delta, Utah where she met her eternal companion Spencer Moody. She married Spencer in the Logan Temple on July 28, 1972.
Soon after getting married they began to grow their family. She was a devoted wife and mother who selflessly spent countless hours working and sacrificing for the needs of her family including her eight children who made up the entirety of her world. She was someone who very much disliked the spotlight and recognition and always fulfilled her motherly responsibilities softly and without fanfare. Her deep love and devotion to her family was clearly visible as she faithfully and without thought for herself tenderly cared for her parents in their later years in her home as well as took constant care of her precious daughter Chantel. She also very much loved being a grandma and always went out of her way to make sure all of her 30 grandchildren felt special and loved every time they would come to see her.
Along with being a wonderful mother, throughout her life she was devoted to her faith as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and spent numberless hours serving in various capacities such as primary and relief society president and being a bishop's wife.
It was through her experience raising children that she found her passions and talents for being very organized, a skilled planner, and a forward thinker. She was constantly spending her time with things that would benefit her family in the future. She had a love for gardening, canning, and storing food. She would start her Christmas gift making and gathering in January for the coming year, and loved to make her holiday homemade chocolates that she would carefully ration and make last the entire year. She was loved by everyone because of her sweet disposition. Her gentle, kind hearted personality will always be remembered and treasured.
She is survived by her Father, Jay Gubler and her eight children Aaron (Rosalee) Moody, Justin (Heather) Moody, Amy Rasmussen, Brenden (Rachelle) Moody, Jared (Heidi) Moody, Stacie (Warren) Bowler, Laura Moody, Chantel Moody, 30 grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters. She is preceded in death by her mother Evelyn Gubler and sister Kathy Meyers.
