Jack Rendle Orvin

Jack Rendle Orvin was born on November 25, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the son of Louise Orvin and Jay Edwin Orvin. 

Jack was raised in Murray Utah and graduated from Murray high school with honors. Jack loved sports and lettered in wrestling…he was a force to be reckoned. He enjoyed weight lifting and personal nutrition. Jack attended SUSC in Cedar City and met Deloris Condie and married in the St. George temple in 1964. They had 5 children and made their home Hurricane Utah. They later divorced in 2003. In 2007 Jack found the love of his life Julia and later married in Portland Temple. They made their home in St. George and Washington state and finally settled in Kalama, Washington until Jack’s passing. Julia was always by his side and they had a wonderful life together, camping, traveling and watching Oregon Ducks and UofU football.

Jack was the epitome of hard work…he passed that along to his children. He did whatever it took to take care of his family. He loved his children and never missed an activity or sporting event…along grandkids events. The amazing thing was he never missed a birthday for anyone, grandkids included. If anyone needed anything, Jack was there. He was a faithful father, friend to all. He loved his fishing buddies and were friends for life. Jack owned one of the first gas stations in Hurricane and started a masonry company in southern Utah until he retired. 

Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Deloris, brothers Jerry and Benny, sister Mary. His daughter Dannette, Jack is survived by his wife Julia, children Lorin, Delene, Cameron and Casey and his siblings James Orvin, Jaylene Finlayson, Cheryle Kerr, and Shauna Orvin. 25 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren

Graveside service are to be at the Tonaquint cemetery (1777 South Dixie Drive, St. George Utah) on December 3, 2022 at 1:00pm
