Iris June Mortenson

Iris June Call Mortenson, 87, passed away May 12, 2018 at her home in St. George, UT. She was born June 4, 1930 in Waukegan, IL to Ira Anson Call and Mary Pearl Chidester Call. Her family moved to Bancroft, ID, during the Depression. She attended Utah State Agricultural College in Logan, UT, where she met Roy "K" Mortenson. They were married in the Logan LDS Temple, March 5, 1948.

Iris is survived by her eight children: Dr. Kirsten Mortenson, Galen LeRoy (Holly) Mortenson, Diana Lee Mortenson, and Amy Pearl Mortenson, all of St. George, UT; David Rulon (Janet) Mortenson, Riverton, UT; Kathryn (Val) Burton, Tremonton, UT; Darlene Mortenson, Cane Beds, AZ; Michael "C" (Desiree) Mortenson, Frederick, MD; and a sister, Sharon Anderson, Burley, ID; 21 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Marion Jensen; and brother, Edgar “Sonny” Call.

Visitation will be Friday, May 18, 2018, 10:30-11:30 a.m. with Funeral Services at noon in the Picturesque LDS Chapel at 820 North Valley View Drive, St. George. Interment/graveside will take place at the Central Cemetery at 3:00.
