Helen Ann Bushar

Enterprise, Utah- On January 6, 2021 at age 78, Helen Ann Johnson Bushar passed through the veil into the arms of her loving Heavenly Father, her beloved husband, and many others who preceded her in death. She died in her home after a long battle with dementia. She was born April 3, 1942 in Short Creek, Arizona to Price W. Johnson and Helen L. Hull. She married Francis Dean Bushar on August 11, 1962 in the St. George LDS temple. 

Ann grew up in a large family with 10 siblings which gave her a strong desire to have a large family of her own. She ended up convincing her beloved to have 7 children. Shortly after marriage, Ann and Dean moved to Las Vegas, NV. They started their family and lived there for several years before moving to Enterprise, UT and completing their family. They remained in
Enterprise until their last days.

Ann was very athletic and loved to participate in many sports. She played on several bowling teams winning multiple trophies. She also played on many softball teams. Her favorite physical activities though were swimming and running. She ran multiple 5ks, the most recent one being the Enterprise fun run in 2019 where she won first place in her age group.

Everyone that knew Ann knew her love for the gospel and all of mankind. She was one of a kind with her deep love for all those around her and she always had a smile. Ann and Dean served in the St. George Temple for 20 years where they attended 2-3 sessions a week. She always welcomed everyone with open arms and went out of her way to give everyone a hug. Even in her last days she would exclaim how much she loved having everyone around her even though she didn’t know who they were. Her other great love was quilting. If you were around her for more than a few minutes you would get “Have I ever made you a tricot quilt?”  

She is survived by her seven children: DeAnn Munoz, Larine Truman, Lucinda Cowan (Tyler), Bryan Bushar (Teresa), Scott Bushar (Selma), David Bushar (Rebecca), Rachelle Moody (Brenden), and her brothers David Johnson (Marie), Darrel Johnson (Sherrie), and Alma Johnson (Evanir). She is preceded in death by her eternal companion Francis Dean Bushar, her parents Price W. Johnson and Helen L. Hull, and her siblings Esther, Neta, Earl, Eleanor, Isabell, Sherrell, and Joe.

We would like to express our thanks to all the nurses, CNAs, and all other hospice workers, family members, and friends who cared for her in her last days. 

Ann was loved beyond measure and will be missed by many.
