Harlan Eugene Jacoby

Harlan Eugene Jacoby passed away peacefully on April first, 2023, at the age of 76. Harlan was a resident of St George, Utah. He was born Feb 20, 1947 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Mabel A Dodrill Jacoby and Henry F. Jacoby.  

Harlan enjoyed his years growing up on the family farm outside of Lincoln, Nebraska. He was an eagle scout, graduated from Waverley High School, and studied agronomy at the University of Nebraska. He was an avid fan of Nebraska Cornhusker football where he served as an usher. He enjoyed geology and photographing the beauty of the national parks of southwest Utah and also the Tetons.  He loved photography and scenic drives through the varied landscape of southwest Utah where he spent the last 16 years of his life. Harlan especially enjoyed spending time in the summers gardening in the small farming community of Enterprise, Utah. Harlan had an amazing sense of humor and was well known for his one-line zingers. He was a very kind and gentle soul.

He is survived by close friend and companion Zola Hunt and his adopted daughter Lisa Hunt Berlin. Also by brother Sam Jacoby and sister in law Rosemary Jacoby of Bridgeport, Nebraska, niece Lisa Jacoby Downey, Nephew Ben Jacoby, and 8 first cousins. 

Graveside services will be held at the Enterprise, Utah cemetery on April 6, 2023 at 1:00 pm.
