Georganna Ruth Furgo Eagar, age 81, a resident of Washington City, Utah, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022 in her home.
She was born on November 2, 1940 in East Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California to Michael Peter Furgo and Ruth Borg Furgo. She married Melvin Leroy Slocum on February 3rd 1962 in Montebello, California and later divorced, she later married Benton Roland Eagar in Highland Ranch, Douglas,· Colorado on June 3, 1995.
She grew up in Montebello, and went to Montebello High School, where she graduated in 1958. Her interests was music, cooking, art, and quilting. Her profession was legal secretary for attorneys, she later went to work in the recorder office in the Denver, Colorado Temple as a clerk and retired from the LDS Church.
Georganna is survived by her husband Ben Eagar, her daughter Katherine Slocum Hayman and son in law Mark of Phoenix, OR. Her son Craig Slocum of Show Low, AZ. 2 Brothers, Jim Furgo and wife Mariska of Hurricane, UT and Bob Furgo and wife Inger of Palms Springs, CA 2 stepsons Scott Eagar and Kit Eagar of Grand Junction, CO. also 3 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents. The funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Treasure Valley Ward Bldg. at 450 west 3650 south in Washington, UT at 11 o'clock, with the viewing at 10 o'clock in the Relief Society Room.
Georganna will be interred at the Hurricane City Cemetery in Hurricane, UT.
The family wished to thank the nurses and medical staff at Intermountain Hospice and also the nursing staff and doctors at St. George Regional Hospital for the extra loving care received. And also wished to thank all those that sent beautiful flowers.
