Evelyn Hamlin Marvidikis

Our loving mother Evelyn Hamlin Marvidikis passed away on August 2, 2016 at home in St. George, Utah.

She was born in Salina Utah on July 16, 1944 to Jennie Christine Rasmussen and Pier Murray Hamlin. Evelyn loved to read and garden. She loved the outdoors especially fishing and camping with her family. She made the most beautiful crocheted afgans and it was a treat to have her cook for you. Above all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and made each one feel special.

She is survived by her children Annie Wilson Brunson (Ron), Mark Brown, Jill Evans (Jeff), David Beck, Tomiko Williams (James), grandchildren Tom  Wilson(Kelsi), Troy Wilson, Eric Evans, Tara James(Tyler), Jacob Evans, Marci Evans, Amy Evans, Ivy Mounteer, Abby Mounteer, Gabby Mounteer, Nick Beck, Kyla Beck, Zech Beck, Joseph Beck, Samuel Beck, Kate Beck and two great grandchildren.  Also survived by her brothers, Ralph Hamlin, and Kim (Marsha) Hamlin. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Randi Marvidikis Hales, son in law Douglas Wilson, Sister Joyce Nielsen, and brother William “Billy” Hamlin.

 The family would like to give a special thanks to her brother Ralph Hamlin for all his love and kindness in her final years.

Funeral services will be held on August 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the LDS Chapel located at 98 West 400 North, Salina, Utah.  There will be a visitation for family and friends prior to services at the same location from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will follow the services at the Old Pioneer cemetery in Salina.
