Ethan Scott Child

St. George Utah - Ethan Scott Child, 11, passed away June 2, 2023. He was born July 19, 2011 in Ogden, Utah to Ronald Scott Child and Olivia Raquel Child (Gonzales). 

Ethan was raised in St. George Utah and attended elementary at Vista Charter School in Ivins, Utah. Ethan was the joy and the light to all his friends and family. He loved his family very much and was the happiest being cuddled and sang to. Music brought joy to him and he could be heard singing along with his sister and mom in the car. Although he suffered from many medical conditions, he was the happiest child. 

One thing he loved was cuddling with family and watching movies. Ethan loved being comfortable! He had a selection of sweats and pjs. Often he would kick off his shoes. After school granny would get home and take his shoes off, tickle his feet, and he would laugh with happiness. 

At school Ethan loved his classmates and teachers. He is known as the most popular kid in school. Everyone knew him and greeted him as he rolled down the halls. He loved going to Mr. Nickel’s class of course, because of all the music. Ethan had great friends at Vista. Oftentimes, they would be his helpers. Pushing him down the halls, helping him with projects, and reading to him, his friends were the highlight of his day at school.

He is survived by his father Ronald S. Child, his mother Olivia R. Child, and his four siblings Ronald J. Child, Emmaline E. Child, Brylee A. Huston, and his twin Eloise H. Child. 

Funeral services will be held at Vista Charter School in Ivins Utah, on June 8, 2023 at 11 am. Interment will take place in the cemetery of Ivins Utah following the service.
