Ernest John Webb

After a very active life, serving, traveling, enjoying people and life, Ernie has returned to the Lord that sent him! He was well loved by all that knew him.

Ernie was born May 25, 1929 to Ernest Donald Webb and Alta Berg Webb. He was an only child born to this marriage. His father passed when he was just 5 years old and he was raised by a single mother in a loving home with Aunts, Uncles, and Grandparents. All of them pre-deceased him.

Ernie was always a leader. He served as Sophomore Class President at BYU before going on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Upon his return he married Joyce Thatcher, and to them were born three children; Ernest Reed Webb, of Veyo, Clarise Webb Herbst of Gunlock, and Bartley John Webb, of Gilroy, California.

After graduation from Northwestern School of Dentistry in Chicago he served two years in the Military, as a Dentist in the Air Force. Then had his Dental Offices in Menlo Park, Palo Alto and Mountain View California. He served as President of the Mid-Peninsula Dental Society and President of the Northern California Academy of Endodontists.

His church callings included; Elder's Quorum President, Bishop, High Counselor, 35 years of service in the Temple. He and Joyce were Area Advisors for Family History in Chile. He served the last few years in the new "Family Search Center" where he loved leading tours and teaching the people who came.

He is survived by his wife Joyce, His three children, 14 grandchildren, and 28 Great-Grandchildren.
