Dennis Lee Lamb, age 67, of St. George, Utah, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021. Dennis was born May 20, 1954 to Alfred Lee Lamb and Carma Whimpey Lamb in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. He was married to Kim Leann Leavitt, November 4, 1976 in the Manti Temple.
Dennis was raised in Payson Utah. After high school graduation he attended BYU for a semester before serving a mission to Chile, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. When he left for Chile his family left for Germany, Dennis joined them after his mission. When the family moved back to the states, Dennis moved to Provo and continued his education at BYU where he met his wife Kim. He has degrees in Design Engineering and Computer-aided manufacturing. Dennis and Kim raised their family in West Valley and South Jordan Utah. After the kids were raised, they moved to St. George, Utah. Dennis loved to travel, go to movies, eat out and be around his family. A tradition was started to take each of the grandkids on a trip of their choice when they were 10. Dennis looked forward to these trips and loved spending time with his grandkids. Dennis enjoyed attending football, basketball, baseball, choir performances, band performances, dance competitions, or any other activity his family participated in. Dennis was always in the background and making sure his kids and grandkids were fed and taken care of, (if you knew him well you will remember seeing him with a book and whistling a tune). Dennis enjoyed singing and playing his guitar around the campfire with family, he was also a member of the Southern Utah Heritage Choir. He loved the gospel and was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served in the Jordan River Temple when his family was young and later had the opportunity to serve in the St. George Temple with his wife for 8 years. Dennis’ dream was to return to Chile and serve in the Temple. Dennis and Kim were called to serve in the Texas, McAllen Mission; they had to interrupt their service due to health concerns.
Dennis is survived by his wife Kim Leavitt Lamb; 3 sons, Jeremy (Katie), Allen (Nana), Wayne (Jessica) and one daughter, Leann (Matt) Schuman; 7 grandchildren, Mason, Taeya, Brinley, Benson Schuman, Paislee Lamb, Taylor and Tylor Perry and 2 great grandchildren, Emma and Stella Perry.
