He loved fishing with his brother’s, friends and family. A highlight was going salmon fishing in Alaska with his three boys. He had a passion for horses, which became a career, and he eventually opened a retail store named Butlers Western Outfitter in St. George, Utah.

He will be greatly missed by his surviving wife, Judy and their 6 children: Kristi Strongo (John), Matthew Butler, Andria Staheli (Trent), Camila Young (Tyler), Michael Butler (Samantha), Jonathan Butler (Lyndy), and grandchildren: Josh, Taylor, Jake, Caleb, Rachel, Allison, Belle, Bo, Josie, Carson, Hazen, Zac, Memphis, Jacoby, Hennessy, Lennix, Max, Rocko, Gwenny, and Willow.
