Deborah Lee Montoya

September 24, 1959 — March 19, 2024

St. George, Utah

Deborah “Debbie” Lee Montoya, age 64, of St. George, Utah, passed away peacefully on March 19th, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones. Born at St. Marks Hospital (Salt Lake City, Utah) to Ezra Borman and Leah Foote on September 24th, 1959.

She was a beloved caregiver known for her strength, nurturing nature, and unconditional love. Her front porch, morning coffee, and honest advice brought comfort to many during their difficult times. She dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren, and loved ones. She taught us inspiration and perseverance through her continued hard work and independence. Proving that you can achieve whatever you put your mind to, and to always dream big. She was never afraid to speak her mind, and give you the hard truths that were absolutely needed for growth. Her love for elephants could be seen throughout her home, and also made sure any important memory or milestone didn’t go without a keepsake. She enjoyed writing novels, journaling, fishing, gardening and many other hobbies.

Debbie is survived by her mother, Leah Foote; Spouse, Alain Young; Children: Joey Archuletta (Cortney), David Rojas (Alisha), and Shelbbie Stevens (Thore); 8 grandchildren: Nikylee, Asiana, Ezra, Westley, Cree, Myiles, Lykan and Amara; and her siblings: Randy Phillips, Steve Phillips, Larry Foote and Kelly Mahmood.

Family Viewing will be held on Thursday, March 28th at 3:30 PM at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, UT 84047. A Graveside service will be held at Elysian Burial Gardens (1075 East 4580 South, Millcreek, UT 84117) on Friday, March 29th at 1:00 PM.
