Beryl, Utah - Cynthia Saville-Steele, 69, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023, in her home after bravely battling cancer. She was born May 9, 1954 in Belleville, Illinois to Jane M. Meddows, and Harry E. Saville. She married William “Bill” G. Steele, Las Vegas, Nevada September 29, 1989. They were later Sealed in the Saint George temple August 13, 2010.
Growing up she had moved around a lot due to her father being in the Air Force. Cynthia lived in many places, a few of them being Panama, Florida, and Texas. She settled in Sandy, Utah during her senior year of high school and for many years after. While living in Sandy, Utah she graduated high school, and she attended college at the University of Utah. She owned three Arctic Circle’s with her first husband (William Fullem II). Then ran one by herself, when they parted ways. She sold that Arctic Circle to help run the Double S Ranch Boarding Stables with her second husband Bill. She and Bill Moved to southern Utah in 1991 to support her husband's plumbing career.
Cynthia was more than passionate about horses, if it involved horses you could count on her to be there. Family was the most important part of her life, especially her grandchildren. She kept a special place in her heart for each one of them. She loved to take pictures of everyone whether they liked it or not, but to get her to be in the picture was a treasure in itself.
She was an active member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; she had many callings in the relief society. Cynthia was involved by being a Temple and family history leader. She had a strong interest in genealogy, which captured her fascination for many hours at a time. She was always willing to serve others, and very well known and loved in the escalante valley (Beryl, Newcastle, and Enterprise) area.
She is survived by her husband William G. Steele. Her sons: William Fullem, Ronnie Steele. Daughters: Jennifer Fullem Staples, Lacie Coley, Andie Holtkamp, Joanie Stewart, Juile Lamborne, Amanda Hatch. Her grandchildren: MaKayla Hawker, Hailey Sawyer, Morgan Staples, Dane Steele, Easton Steele, Cash Steele, Mila Steele, Remi Steele, Dakota Holtkamp, Ambri Holtkamp, Gabriella Holtkamp, Dax Lambourne, Sawyer Lamborne, Kattaleya Stewart, Mickelson Stewart, Ayla Fullem, Jane Fullem, Royal Hatch, Kira Hatch, Addison Jennings, Brysen Jennings, Jayden Coley. Her sister, Tracy Collard. Her Brother, Mike Saville, and Five Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her Mother and Father, grandson Riley Staples, granddaughter Ashley Holtkamp and many beloved four legged friends.
The funeral will be held Saturday, August 12, at the Enterprise Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 80 South Center Street, Enterprise, Utah 84725. The viewings will be held Friday, August 11, 6-8 P.M., and Saturday, August 12, 9:30-10:30 A.M. The funeral will be held at 11 A.M. The interment will take place on Monday, August 14 at 2 P.M., in the American Fork Cemetery, 26 West 600 North Street, American Fork, Utah 84003.
