Curtis Lee Madson, age 64, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024, in St. George, Utah. He was born on September 10, 1960, in Kayenta, Arizona, to Mae Rosita Williams and Danny Kee Madson. Curtis was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who will be remembered for his humble nature, dedication to his family, and hard work.

Curtis met the love of his life, Stella Graymountain, while attending Southern Utah University. They married on December 7, 1982, and shared many years of love, joy, and companionship. Together, they raised a beautiful family that Curtis cherished deeply.

Curtis grew up in Kayenta and later in Panguitch, Utah, where he was involved in various activities, including wrestling, basketball, and weightlifting in high school. Alongside his brother, he worked at the sawmill in Panguitch and learned the trades of silversmithing and carpentry from his father, skills that he carried with him throughout his life. Whether woodworking or crafting beautiful silver pieces, Curtis was a humble artisan, always content to let his work speak for itself.

He enjoyed a fulfilling career as a "catch-all" handyman, a profession that allowed him to put his skills to use and help others. Curtis loved problem-solving and was known for his ability to fix nearly anything, always with a calm and patient demeanor.

Above all, Curtis was a family man. He cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren, always putting family first. He is survived by his six children: Lacey Lee Madson, Letitia Beth Madson, LaShaunda Lee Madson, Shaquille Dana Madson, Lakkin Curtis Madson, and Gabriella Stella Madson; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his siblings Irvin Lee Madson, Cindy Hopkins, and Viola Mae Jones, 10 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

Curtis is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Stella Madson; his parents, Mae Rosita Williams and Danny Kee Madson; and his sister, Katy Fife.

Curtis will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, strength, and craftsmanship will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. A celebration of Curtis' life will be held in Panguitch Utah first ward church on Friday January 10, 2025 In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hughes mortuary in his memory.

Rest in peace, Curtis. Your memory will forever be a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing you.
