Connie Holt Moon

Connie Holt Moon, 74 years old, of Toquerville, Utah passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her children, Tammy Shepherd, Rob Moon, Ashley Moon & her dear friend Sandi Browse. Connie was born April 3, 1949 in Mount Pleasant, IA to Mina Marie Rich Holt & Harold Wayne Holt. Connie was raised in Fairfield, Iowa.

She married B. Moon November 4, 1967, then they moved to San Diego California wh she had her son, Rob Moon, in 1970. Connie was a devoted mother and she became a special needs teacher in San Diego. In 1979 she moved to Gunnison, Utah where she tried a few different things - She worked at the local grocery store, and then she worked for a feed company, and a computer company building motherboards in 1995. She moved to St. George, Utah to be near her children and grandchildren. She moved to Toquerville and found her calling. She said it was meant to be, she became a supervisor at a girls home for troubled teens there she felt she found her purpose. She became employee of the month several times and she became employee of the year several times as well.

She loved helping others. Connie was very close to our Lord and loved attending church. She read a lot, crocheted, and needlepoint but her most favorite thing was her family, spending time with all her friends and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed her great grandchildren. Connie was a very special soul. She was lucky enough to have friendships that lasted 60 years because she cared for everyone and wanted to help those in need. Connie was divorced but not sad,  she devoted her life to her family.

Connie is survived by her children; Rob Moon and Tammy Shepherd. Grandchildren; Tawny Moon, Kenan Bulow, Ashley Moon & Talon Moon. Her Brother Ronne Holt. Niece Kristi Holt Hagenbarth. Her great grandchildren; Thomas, Beaux, Kai & Lux.

She also had a lot of nieces and nephews whom she felt so lucky to have known & loved. If she had any regret it was not being closer to her friends and family in Iowa whom she lived so far away from. She loved everyone, but her brother Ronne held a special place in her heart. Connie was the most loving, caring gentle soul. She cared about others more than herself. She felt so blessed to be so close with her brother and glad to have met sweet Rose.

She is preceded in death by her Sister-in-law Karen, her dear niece Denise & her great grandchild Remi, her mother, father, and brother Mike.

She will be loved and missed forever. Those who knew her were blessed. She will be laid to rest at the Green Mount Cemetery in Trenton, Iowa alongside her mother, father and brother. Rest In Peace Connie.
