Chadam Day Mihlberger – Aug. 27, 1986 – Jan. 7, 2025 Known as Aki to his dad and a few others, passed to a heavenly reunion with family and friends. This will be a very honest obituary but as his parents, we think he would want people to know how his life progressed. He had happy years growing up but life got harder as he made choices which effected how his body functioned. He was raised in Kaysville, Farmington and Centerville, Utah, by parents who loved him dearly. At an early age he was introduced to marijuana and immediately knew he was hooked. As time when by, he became increasingly dependent on artificial means of being artificially happy. It turned to schizophrenia and paranoia. He was taught smoking cigarettes in a halfway house and could never kick that habit though he knew it was unhealthy.
His last months he loved getting up before the sun and walking to some high overlook to watch the sunrise and then did the same at sunset. He walked miles and miles each day, all alone, to spend time in nature . He literally wore out his feet and body till it was just too miserable to continue. At the end, he had beat all drugs except for the cigarettes. He loved spending time in the swing at his parents house looking out over St. George – and then another cigarette. He grew more and more depressed with his future here and just wanted to leave. As his parents, we will miss him but absolutely know where he is now. He knew heaven had to be a happier place than his present situation. He has friends there and lots of family to gather around him and let him know he is loved. It gives his parents solace to know we don’t have to wait long to see him again.
He is survived by his older brother CW Robert Mihlberger and his son Wiley, sister Misha Ramirez and her daughter Lily, and parents Bonnie Day and Michael George Mihlberger.
