Cathleen Joanne Williams

Cathleen Joanne Williams, age 52, of Apple Valley, Utah, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021 in her home. She was “Cathy” to all who knew her. Cathy was born September 14, 1968 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and grew up in Hales Corners, Wisconsin where she attended school and Hales Corners Lutheran Church, participated in Girls Scouts, and enjoyed swimming and biking. She also enjoyed traveling and camping with her family. Summer was her favorite and preferred season; she did not care for the cold and snowy midwest winters. Cathy later moved to southern Utah to pursue her passions and a warmer climate. Cathy had a deep love and concern for animals, particularly dogs and cats, and she was an avid pet owner. She worked tirelessly for raising awareness and money to provide bullet-proof and stab-resistant vests for police canine units. Her efforts made a significant difference in increasing the safety for American Police K-9 Officers. Cathy is survived by five siblings; Bruce (Karen), Brian, Pamela (Joseph) Stemper, Gary, and Lisa Lusha, along with 11 nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Terence. In lieu of funeral services and to honor Cathy’s character and wishes, we ask that all who wish to participate make a donation to any organization providing canine safety vests.
