Carlos "Charlie" Alvarez

Carlos (Charlie) Alvarez, age 70, passed away at Dixie Regional Medical Center on August 12, 2017. He was born June 1, 1947 in Havana, Cuba to Alfredo Alvarez and Zoraida Lopez. . He came to America as a very young man at a time of real turmoil in his native country. After his arrival, he lived in Florida and then Wisconsin where he started high school. When his parents were able to come, he was reunited with them in New York. Later, he and his family settled in Las Vegas, Nv, where he lived for many years. He also spent some years in Colorado, where he owned his own business. Before his passing, he had lived in the St George, Utah area for several years.
Charlie's passion was automobiles. He spent his entire career either as a salesman or dealer. Even after retirement, he was never happier than when he was talking about cars.
He is survived by his wife, Debby (Washington, UT), his son Daniel (St.George, UT) sons Charlie (Pennsylvania), Karl and Andrew(New York), and daughters Stacey and Jessica(New York). He is also survived by his brother, Al Alvarez  ( wife Mona) Las Vegas, NV; sister Connie Qualls ( husband Geoff)  Albuquerque, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo and Zoraida Alvarez.
Per Charlie's wishes, no funeral services will be held.
